Reiki is a type of energy therapy. Physicists have been studying energy fields and frequencies for decades and have found that everything pulsates with energy:

In Eastern philosophy this energy is prana, in Chinese Medicine it is called chi, in Africa it’s known as ashe, in Hawaii as ha or mana and Native Americans call it Ni or Nilchi’i (

Sessions are conducted remotely until my studio is built, but distance sessions are just as effective. We can connect remotely or in-person prior to your session to discuss your needs and intentions.

Before the Session:

  • Clear and cleanse your energy and space.
  • We'll establish a connection 15 minutes prior to the session via Google Meet. During this initial meeting, we'll discuss your intention, any concerns you may have, and what you hope to gain from the session.

During the Session (40 minutes):

  • Sit or lie in a meditative posture.
  • Listen to binaural beats or other healing sounds to help the body and mind ease into a relaxed state.

After the Session (10 minutes):

  • We'll meet again to discuss session impressions, intuitive insights, and a way forward for integrating this energy healing into your life.
  • Discussion will include Chakra wellness tips for waking and tending these energy centers.
  • Follow-up email with a link to any media associated with your reading if used.

What is Reiki:

Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki (rei meaning "universial," and ki, equates to vital life force energy) uses energy medicine to promote one's natural ability to heal itself.

The Usui System of Natural Healing is a Japanese Healing Art. This form was founded in Japan a little over 100 years ago a by Mikao Usui, whose personal search to understand healing led him to Reiki. He developed his form of Reiki practice in Japan and in 1937, and it was later introduced to Hawaii, by Hawayo Takata Sensei. It is passed on from Master to student through teachings, a defined form of practice, and initiation.

Reiki is used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospices, to complement other forms of health treatments. It complements traditional healing treatments by helping people become energetically balanced — physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Though energy healing is becoming more widely accepted as medical studies continue to show its value as a wellness practice, it is not a substitute for medical care, nor is it intended to diagnose or treat any medical illness. Please use your discretion when deciding how best to incorporate energy work into your journey. And, if you have medical concerns, you are advised to contact a licensed physician.
