About My Writing

My writing spans poetry, creative nonfiction, journalism, and professional content, exploring themes of growth, connection, interpersonal relationships, collective histories, and the intuitive and metaphysical dimensions of human experience. Rooted in nature, memory, and the landscapes of place, my creative work evokes reflection, strengthens connection, and illuminates the shared truths that shape us.

In my professional work, I write across education, leadership, community development, and organizational strategy—crafting content that brings clarity, purpose, and meaningful impact to programs, initiatives, and collaborations.

My Creative Process

Writing is an evolving practice of presence, curiosity, and deep listening. I draw inspiration from the natural world, from lived experiences, and from the relationships we build with our communities and environments. Through poetry, essays, and reflective storytelling, I aim to spark dialogue, foster understanding, and create work that resonates across perspectives and experiences.

Editorial Leadership

I serve as the Editor in Chief and Publisher of Red River Review, one of the earliest online literary journals, originally founded in 1999. Under my leadership, the journal is undergoing a full relaunch and expansion—broadening its scope to include poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, hybrid forms, and visual art.

My editorial work includes:

• Curating and selecting literary work

• Providing thoughtful developmental and line editing

• Supporting and mentoring contributors

• Shaping thematic issues and editorial vision

• Leading digital strategy, publication design, and community engagement

• Building partnerships that support literary and creative ecosystem growth

This role deepens my commitment to the literary arts and reinforces my belief in storytelling as a powerful tool for reflection, connection, and cultural impact.

Poetry

My poetry has appeared in Red River Review, Emerge Literary Journal, The Rusty Nail, and other publications.
These poems explore memory, identity, loss, trauma, and the convergence of lived experience with broader cultural and emotional truths. I write where authenticity emerges—where place, memory, and internal landscapes meet.
