Visual Works
Heather Robinson Hernandez’s visual work engages assemblage, book arts, and ecopoetics to explore environmental memory, embodied experience, and materials as archives of place, both the tangible and intangible.
Working with layered surfaces and reclaimed materials, her practice brings forward what is embedded, obscured, or held beneath the surface. Many works take the form of narrative scenes, where figures are situated within liminal spaces, exploring the tension between internal and environmental landscapes, as well as the spiritual dimensions of place and identity.
